On March 6th the Buesa Arena will pay a well-deserved tribute to the team that won the first and only European title in the history of Saski Baskonia. Twenty years have passed since a historic moment, an impossible victory to forget, and a magical night that Vitoria will always remember.
Ten gladiators to the orders of the great Manel Comas made history on the night of March 12, 1996 in front of a crowd that crammed the old Araba Pavilion. A team with capital letters that ruled in Europe representing a city of just over two hundred thousand inhabitants and that will be present on the floor of the Buesa Arena the next March 6 in the pre-derby against Bilbao Basket.
Marcelo Nicola, Ramón Rivas, Velimir Perasovic, Jordi Millera, Ferrán López, Carlos Cazorla, Juan Pedro Cazorla, Jorge Garbajosa, Miguel Ángel Reyes and Iñaki Gómez will meet in Vitoria to celebrate this special 20th anniversary with all the Baskonia fans. The team that opened the gates of Europe to Baskonia will receive its deserved tribute on the court before the start of the Endesa League clash and we encourage all fans to join us in this celebration.
