The Serbian shooting guard becomes Saski Baskonia’s second signing for the 2021-22 campaign.
Vanja Marinkovic has signed a contract for the next three seasons with Saski Baskonia. The Serbian outside player, born in Belgrade in 1997, is the second new face of Baskonia’s new project that will compete in the Endesa League and Euroleague under the leadership of Dusko Ivanovic.
Marinkovic played the last two seasons for Valencia Basket where he accumulating experience in both competitions. In his last season, he averaged 8.4 points in the ACB with a 46.9% success rate in three pointers. The new Baskonia player came through the Partizan Belgrade youth system until making his debut for the first team in the 2013-14 campaign where would then remain for the next five seasons.
The talented Balkan shooting guard was a regular on the rosters of the Serbian national youth team, climbing up the categories from the under-16s before making his debut for the full senior team. He was chosen in the 60th position of the 2019 Draft by Sacramento Kings before signing for Valencia.
Saski Baskonia adds offensive talent to its outside line with the arrival of Vanja Marinkovic for the next three seasons.
