The City Mayor, Javier Maroto, Javier de Andrés, General Deputy of Araba, Juan Ignacio Motiloa, Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy of the Basque Government and Francisco Roca, CEO of the ACB, agreed that two of the pillars of Vitoria-Gasteiz are “gastronomy and sport”.
Apart from this, Vitoria-Gasteiz holds the title of “Gastronomy Capital 2014” and as it couldn´t been otherwise, two chefs Patxi Eceiza and Iñaki Moya were in charge of the draw of the Supercup semifinals. Real Madrid and Valencia Basket will face each other in the first game, FC Barcelona and Laboral Kutxa Baskonia will compete for the other spot on the final. After this, the attendees enjoyed the trophy.
The Vitorian restaurant “El Clarete” was in charge to host the authorities and team representatives after the event; Joan Creus, Josean Querejeta, Emiliano Rodríguez and Victor Luengo among others. The downtown restaurant, managed by the brothers Fernandez de Retana was the place in which the attendees were able to taste different plates made with the best ingredients. The attendees were able to check this way that apart from basketball, Vitoria-Gasteiz breathes gastronomy.
