Baskonia will begin training in double session at BAKH sports center, with physical training in the morning and basketballl in the afternoon.
Next Monday, Laboral Kutxa Baskonia will officially start its preseason after the arrival of the players to Vitoria and undergoing the corresponding medical examinations. All ten players will start on Monday with the physical and ball work.
Apart from the three summer signings (Rodrigue Beaubois, Andrea Bargnani and Shane Larkin), the veteran Ilimane Diop -who is facing his fourth season in the first team- and the youth players Tadas Sedekerskis and Daniel Bordignon will also take part in the trainings. The group will be completed with Arturs Kurucs, Sander Raieste, Mario Delas and Trevor Cooney. Last two players have been signed in order to help the team during this period of preparation before the beginning of the competition.
Next Monday, the team will start working under the direction of Sito Alonso as acclimation period. The rest of the teammates will join the group once they finish their commitments with their national teams. Meanwhile, Rafa Luz and Kim Tillie will join the team in the second week of preseason.
The team will first meet on Monday at 10am in order to begin a preseason that will start with double session workouts. Physical work will be led by Luka Svilar and ball work (focusing on more technical and tactical aspects) will be directed by the coaching staff of the team.
