The eight edition of Baskonia International Camp started yesterday with a new record set involving 400 participants, and becoming also in the most international edition so far. Players from 17 different nationalities are looking for a basketball improvement until next July 17th.
This camp organized by Baskonia is a reference in Spain and it is conducted by David Gil, Laboral Kutxa Baskonia assistant coach. Besides, he coordinates a team that from July 3 is carrying out an intensive practice of 8-hours basketball perfection.
During the first day at Baskonia International Camp hosting presentation took place along with the first level tests, surrounded by a great facilities environment which is intended to enrich young players who gather in Alava’s capital.
Baskonia International Camp 8th edition is including almost 400 players through next two weeks. 15 days of hard-work for all the participants who will try to make a big progress in their game. Baskonia’s model has been implemented as a country reference in the process.
Young players come from several places around the globe, taking Baskonia International Camp a new dimensión worldwide. This 2016 Vitoria hosts different individuals from countries such as Croatia, France, Greece, Colombia, United States or Canada.
The bunch of participants contains those who were born between 1998-2004 for Basket category and 2005-2007 for Minibasket. All of them already work at Buesa Arena and BAKH, places where they’ll learn a meticulous work method from David Gil, accompanied by experimented and high-qualified coaches who will ensure that players get unforgettable memories from this camp edition.
