Young, with lots of ambition and a great shot, this is Davis Bertans, a Latvian who can change the course of a game from the line of 6.75.
We continue introducing the new Laboral Kutxa Baskonia players thanks to the comments of the Technical Secretary of the Club, Alfredo Salazar and the opinion of his new teammates. Davis Bertans is one of the external threats of the team this season and Salazar defines him as a “tall three, so tall that he can even play as a four. He is a shooter, and I think that he is a different player”.
The Technical Secretary of the Club states that “he can save many situations on defense and make it difficult for centers” but one of the things that draws my attention is the “ambition this player has. He is very young so he can still improve. Bertans passes the ball well and he has good understanding of the game. The rivals will have to be aware and not let him loose”.
His teammate, the French Fabien Causeur, defines him as a “good teammate” and highlights his shooting ability. “It’s amazing how he can kill a game in a couple minutes, there are not many of those players out there. He shoots from the outside very naturally”. Causeur adds that “he can do a little of everything on the court because besides shooting, he can handle the ball and defend”.
