Josean Querejeta receives in Barcelona Euroleague ‘Executive of the Year’ award as the best president in the competition.
Saski Baskonia’s president Josean Querejeta has picked up this morning Gianluigi Porelli Euroleague Executive of the Year award from Jordi Bertomeu, Euroleague’s CEO. The event of this well-deserved honor has been carried out during Eurocup’s draw celebrated this midday in Barcelona.
This recognition is named Gianluigi Porelli because of Virtus Bologna historical president and is motivated to be handed to those responsibles for working as presidents to strength the boards they are running. Josean Querejeta is honored with the award for the second time, which shows his remarkable career throughout the years at Saski Baskonia’s board.
Founding member of the Euroleague and one of the architectures who is bringing the upcoming season the best 15 European teams to the Buesa Arena, Querejeta has put Baskonia on the old continent map, being a reference in a small city like Vitoria.
