Rafa luz has been introduced officially as new baskonista player this midday. Brazilian guard landed in Vitoria few days ago to join the preseason with the rest of the team. He will wear N.55 on his jersey during the next two seasons.
“It’s a big step in my career and I wish to enjoy it. My first memories about Baskonia come round with Tiago Splitter and Marcelinho Huertas. Having both players who did so much for this club is the first thing I remember.”
Luz has mentioned Marcelinho Huertas as a mentor of him as well. Also, regarding Sito Alonso’s guidance the Brazilian said “he knows what to do with the player to do their best. I’ll be ready for every scenario.”
Lastly, Laboral Kutxa Baskonia sporting director Felix Fernandez has defined Luz as “the young but experienced player we were looking for.”
