The American, MVP of the regular phase of the Eurocup, arrives at KIROLBET Baskonia with an agreement for the next campaign.
The American point guard Pierria Henry, 26 years old and 1.93 meters tall, has reached an agreement with KIROLBET Baskonia and becomes the new Baskonia reinforcement for the 2019-20 season.
Pierria Henry (Charleston, West Virginia, 1993), arrives to the Basque capital after having campaigned last season in Russian lands. With Unics Kazan Henry has managed to be a Eurocup semifinalist in his third season in the competition and has been proclaimed MVP of the regular phase averaging 10.4 points, 5.3 assists and 4 rebounds for an average rating of 14 in its 21 contested games. In the VTB, the new Baskonia signing has also averaged 11.1 points, 4.2 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 13.7 points.
The North American, former player at North Carolina Charlotte, is the historical leader of his university in assists (566). In his first season in Europe (2015-16) he landed in the Georgian club BC Viti Tbilisi. That same year he had his first experience in the Eurocup with the German Ratiopharm. In the following seasons, Henry went through the Israeli Hapoel Eilat and in the 2017-18 campaign he returned to play the second continental competition with the Turkish Tofas Bursa with which he averaged 10.6 points and a rating of 16.3 per game.
