The young Baskonia player closes his debut in the competition as one of the tournament’s most outstanding players in his second junior year.
Saski Baskonia’s youngest player, Ondrej Hanzlik, has been named best EBA League young player. A well-deserved individual award for an unfinished season with good feelings for the blue-and-white team, which was unexperctedly ended by coronavirus crisis.
In his fourth season playing for Baskonia, Ondrej just turned 18 and still a junior, the Czech forward player has emerged as one of the outstanding players in a demanding tournament such as the EBA League.
Being the team’s top scorer, Hanzlik has closed his EBA debut season within the top 10 players with most points scored per game in the A-A Conference League. With a 68% success rate in two shots, the young player has averaged 15.2 points; 4 rebounds; 12.3 valuation on the 22 games he has played this season.
Elected in the best European U16 Championship quintet with his team, Hanzlik presents his candidacy to become one of the future Baskonia’s pearls.
