Tell us about your experience at the International Campus of Baskonia
It is a great honor for me to be on the campus of one of the European greatest teams. The experience is very positive for me because I like hard work and everyone in Baskonia Campus works one hundred percent and tries to give the best of him.
Yourbest momentsas a coach…
I have many. For example, I went Macedonia U16 champion with my previous club. But for me the most important thing is the formation of young players, make them good people. My years in Vitoria helped me meet many good people, great players and coaches, some who are now very good friends of mine.
What valuesof the International Campus Baskonia would you highlight?
International, friendship, hard work, good people, positive energy, good basketball and Baskonia! We try to instill the kids’ values of friendship, fair play, hard work, tolerance and winning mentality.
How iswork in theInternationalCampus?
Work is very hard, but in a positive way. No pain, no victory, that is, whoever wants to build and improve their skills must work hard. The basketball program of the campus is very good and varied for all players at any age. Where we emphasize the most is on technique and individual tactics.
What is the working methodology for Campus coaches?
For me it’s simple, I live basketball 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so as a coach I have fun doing my job. David Gil (Campus director) sets a really good method and is always open to ideas or suggestions that might improve it.
How isa typical dayat the Campus?
Normally 7 to 8 hours of basketball, with many leisure and educational activities. They have swimming pool, different language classes and fun for the kids. These are very useful days to perfect basketball skills.
What are the differences between the Campus Baskonia and others you know?
The Organization. I have been into many campuses and Baskonia´s is the best organized one. Everything works fine, the schedule is met, and everyone does their job perfectly so it is very easy to work here. For the kids is great too because they have many hours of basketball a day, much more than on other campuses, with the bonus of language classes. I think the success lays on the great organization and the passion and professionalism that coaches and kids put in. A family like atmosphere is created.
What would you say to those who still have not signed up?
Hurry up and sign up, do not miss the best campus in Europe!
