Ibon Navarro, former technical assistant, takes up the head coach position at the Vitorian team.
Marco Crespi will not continue as the Laboral Kutxa Baskonia head coach. The club communicated the decision after the loss to Red Star in the Buesa Arena. Former assistant Ibon Navarro takes up the Baskonia head coach position.
Saski Baskonia is grateful to Marco Crespi for the services provided and wishes him the best of lucks in the future.
Marco Crespi wishes to tell the fan base of the Laboral Kutxa and to the media the following statements:
“I´m sorry. Basketball is my life. My illusion for training Baskonia was like a dream. The passion Baskonia people have is high quality. Things did not happen as I wanted and expected. I´m sorry. Both as a person and as a coach. I don´t like to say more, I´ve a lot of opinions on my mind. But I know what having respect is and right now is not the moment to say more”.
