Laboral Kutxa Baskonia signed the American center Dewayne White, most known as DJ White, with a temporal contract of a month in order to reinforce the inner game of the team. The player (2.06 meters tall and 28 years old) and will join the team next Monday. White was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and attended the University of Indiana. He has developed most of his professional career in the NBA. DJ White has played for great teams such as Charlotte Bobcats, Oklahoma City Thunder or the Boston Celtics.
Drafted by Detroit Pistons in 2008, the powerful Baskonia signing has played a total of 138 games on the NBA after playing in college and in the D-League for Tulsa. He was called by the USA National Team for the 2007 Pan-American Games where he finished as the top scorer of the team.
The player will arrive in Vitoria next Monday and, after going through the required physical exam, he will get to start practicing at the order of Marco Crespi.
