The player comes from Partizan Belgrade and is going to wear Baskonia colors for the next three seasons.
Laboral Kutxa Baskonia has secured the services of Davis Bertans for the next three seasons. The Latvian forward, 22 years and 2.05 meter tall, is joining the new Baskonia project after playing his last three seasons at Partizan Belgrade.
The new Baskonia signing began his career in his home country. He played for two seasons at Union Olimpia where he debuted in the Euroleague. In 2011 he was elected number 42 overall pick by the San Antonio Spurs. Last season in Partizan, he averaged 13.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the Serbian league and 12.5 points, 3.8 rebounds in an average of 21 minutes in European competition.
An important player through the categories of the youth Latvian national team, the latest Baskonia signing got the bronze medal with the U18 team at the European Championship of 2010.
