Laboral Kutxa Baskonia adds height to its paint with the signing of the center Darko Planinic for the next three seasons. The 24 year old player (22 November 1990) and 2.11 m tall, comes from Buducnost, where he averaged last year 10.1 points and 3.6 rebounds in the Eurocup and 9 points and 3.7 rebounds in the Adriatic League.
The center born in Mostar was formed at the lower categories of KK Siroki Brijeg, team in which he played between 2008 and 2012. He is experienced in European competitions as he played the Euroleague with Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the last two seasons in the Cibona of Zagreb and Buducnost, teams that dispute the Eurocup.
With the signing of Darko Planinic, a classic center, tough and experienced, even though his young age, Baskonia closes its interior game. The Croatian will play along the recently signed Anosike and the young Ilimane Diop.
