Laboral Kutxa Vitoria Gasteiz signed shooting guard Michael Roll through the end of the 2016-17 season, the club announced Tuesday.
Roll (1.97 meters, 29 years old) arrives from Tuyap Buyukcekmece Basketbol, where he averaged 16.5 points on 45.5% three-point shooting (56-of-123), 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 29 Turkish League games this season. Roll started his professional career with Bornova Bld of Turkey and also played for Port of Antwerp Giants of Belgium and CAI Zaragoza of Spain before joining Buyukcekmece. Roll played the 2013-14 Eurocup with CAI and averaged 9.8 points and 2.4 assists in 16 games. Roll also reached three consecutive NCAA Tournament final fours with UCLA, from 2006 to 2008, including the championship game in 2006.
He is set to make his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut with Laboral next season.
