The Baskonia players pose with dogs and cats from the A.P.A.S.O.S Vitoria animal shelter for a charity calendar
5+11 Foundation continues working towards the acquired compromise of social responsibility. With the objective of implementing different supporting, disseminating or sensitizing actions, 5+11 Foundation gets involved in order to reach the largest possible number of people.
Therefore, the first team players have joined a new social activity in collaboration with A.P.A SOS Vitoria, a non-profit organization that fights for animal welfare. Their work consists on searching for worthy homes for the animals, where they can have the opportunities their previous owners denied them.
Fernando San Emeterio, Colton Iverson, Thomas Heurtel, Tornike Shengelia, Davis Bertans, Fabien Causeur and Doron Perkins will appear on a charity calendar posing with cats and dogs in the lookout for a second opportunity.
The animal shelter works in two different ways, in the shelter of Vitoria, they pick up the animals in order to find them a new home as soon as possible, and for the animals in poorer conditions, shelter homes are appointed to them so they can recover.
Pilar Garcia, from Ekia photographic studios, was the responsible for taking the pictures. “The idea for collaborating came up and we have already done it in other occasions, when the shelter performs other events. All raised money goes to the association so they can keep on working”.
