This morning Kim Tillie, the new Baskonia signing has been presented at the Villasuso Palace.
The power forward signed for three years and will wear jersey number 14. The French said in his first address to the media that he is “really happy about coming to a club with such a great history. It’s a big step for me”.
The Frenchman repeatedly said that to be here at Baskonia “is a great opportunity”. He coincided with Thomas Heurtel during these days at the French National Team preparation stage and talked with him about coming to Vitoria. “Heurtel is happy about me coming to play here. I come to work hard and help the team”.
Tillie added that he is going to work in all aspects of his game, “I´ll try to contribute with energy, points, rebounds and defense. I will do anything in my hands to help”.
About his European experience explained that he has “played two years in the Eurocup while in France and have some experience in international contests, but certainly playing the Euroleague is a step further and I will work hard to improve and help the team as far as possible”.
The new Baskonia addition assured that “it´s clear that physically is more challenging, but I think I´ll get used to it quickly. I´ll be able to adapt myself because I´m a physical player and I don´t think that to play two games in a row isn’t too difficult”.
He also gave some explanations about his position on the court. “I´m a four, but in Murcia I played as a five quite a lot during these two last seasons. I can play in both positions and have my strengths on the two of them. I´m able to shoot it but I can also work the post. I have no preference”.
