The Senegalese center will serve under Ivanovic in his tenth season as a Baskonia player.
Ilimane Diop will continue to play for Saski Baskonia until June 30, 2023 following an agreement reached with the organization to extend their relationship three more seasons. The Senegalese center, who will fulfill his tenth season as a Baskonia player in the 2020-21 campaign, will continue to be a benchmark in Baskonia´s low post, providing all his qualities that perfectly match the philosophy and character of the Vitorian club.
Since his arrival in 2010, Diop has played a total of 391 official matches for Baskonia and is already one of the players in the history of the club with the most games played. Just behind myths such as Sergi Vidal, Pablo Prigioni, Luis Scola or Tiago Splitter. A Baskonia icon in his seventh campaign as a member of the first team, has also managed to win the Endesa League Champion Title.
An All-Baskonia heart and defensive power for the new 2020-21 project under the commands of Dusko Ivanovic.
