Yesterday, prior to the game, Jesus Vazquez handed to Gizarterako Association the check with the proceeds from the charity auction One Team
For several weeks, many people have bid on the jerseys worn by Baskonia players during the 6th contest of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague in Tel Aviv against Maccabi. The players showed their commitment towards the promotion of basketball as a tool for facilitating integration by giving up putting their names on the jerseys during that day of solidarity. Twelve jerseys were auctioned rising up to 1,560 Euros. These funds have been fully destined to Gizarterako, an association which in collaboration with Baskonia is developing the project One Team.
Several members of the association were present at the event. The President, Chelo Ordejón, Secretary Rosa Gomez and Treasurer Edurne Calvo thanked the club and all the people working for the project, their effort and involvement.
