ONE TEAM Baskonia closes the season with a party at the Buesa Arena with lunch included.
Yesterday, a season full of emotions for the 14 boys and girls that were part of ONE TEAM came to its end. This project that uses basketball as a tool for the integration of groups at risk of social exclusion continues to grow each year thanks to the efforts of all.
It was a very special day for Samuel, Awesome, Godson, Orobosa, Joseph, Purity, Blessing, Choice, Egho, Ivea, Erhum and Emmanuel that along with their coach Alvaro came to visit the Buesa Arena.
The youngsters entered the stadium as their idols usually do on game days. Aker was there to greet them and gave them postcards. Through the corridors of the locker rooms the kids recognized their ambassador Ilimane Diop and other players in a great wallpaper.
The ONE TEAM members had the opportunity to enter the locker room of the first team and feel as a member of the roster.
After that they walked through various places of the stadium. The VIP rooms, the trophy room, in which they asked lots of questions and the press room. Their coach Alvaro prepared a video for them with lots of pictures of the trainings taken throughout the year that made the kids smile.
After, the kids shared a great lunch in order to celebrate such an amazing year. Finally they received a diploma certifying their participation in the team of the 5+11 Foundation School.
We can’t wait for the next season in which lots of new features for all will come for sure.
