The architect of the fourth ACB league title will continue to command the team next season.
Dusko Ivanovic, newly proclaimed Endesa League champion, renews his commitment to KIROLBET Baskonia for the 2020-21 season. The Montenegrin coach, the most successful in the Club’s 60-year history, will continue to command the ship in its third stage in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
The renewed Baskonia coach first landed in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the 2000-01 season where he chained five seasons in a row and won his first ACB League and two Spanish Cups. He would return to the Basque capital in the 2008-2009 season to lead the team until the 2012-13 campaign. A period in which he conquered his second ACB League and his third Copa del Rey.
On December 24, he returned for the third time to the Basque capital. A new stage was beginning in which Ivanovic set himself the goal of re-illuminating Baskonia’s supporters. Six months and the Montenegrin has conquered his third Endesa League taking KIROLBET Baskonia to the top.
Dusko has led the Gasteiz entity in a total of 613 games between ACB and EuroLeague with 412 victories in his record. The renewed Baskonia coach, a classic of the 21st century European basketball scene, will continue the next campaign as the leader of the team.
