The American forward has expressed his enthusiasm and eagerness to begin this new project
The press room at Buesa Arena was the stage for Donta Hall’s introduction as the new azulgrana player. Accompanied by Félix Fernández, the club’s sports director, Donta shared moments of excitement and ambition with a group of fans attending his first statements as a Baskonia player.
“I am very happy and motivated to be here. Chima Moneke has told me wonderful things about the club, the city, and the fans, and I’m eager to get started,” were his first words at the press conference. A physically impressive player, Hall will aim to make a significant impact alongside his teammates in the project led by Pablo Laso.
Asked about his experience in the EuroLeague and his debut in Liga Endesa, Hall remarked: “Basketball is basketball at the end of the day. With hard work and enjoyment, we will achieve results both on and off the court.” Donta will wear number 45 on his new jersey and believes that “it will be a fun year with great moments, both individually and as a team.”
For the azulgrana executive, Donta Hall is a player with considerable experience who is “well-established” in the EuroLeague. A forward who will bring “significant physical presence” and, alongside Khalifa, will form a strong pivot partnership.
At the end of the press conference, Donta felt the warmth of the Baskonia fans. Around 25 season ticket holders had the chance to meet him in person, get his autograph, and take a group selfie, marking the beginning of this new chapter for Baskonia and Donta Hall.
