The jerseys combine the core values of the club with a modern and attractive design
The Baskonia-Alavés Group and Kelme join forces with a historic agreement for both parties. Kelme, a multinational sportswear company based in Elche, has become the new Technical Sponsor of the Baskonia-Alavés Group. Baskonia will start the new season with innovative new jerseys both technologically and design-wise. Fans got to see the new gear at a gala held Friday evening in La Azucarera. The sportswear firm will supply sportswear for Saski Baskonia, Deportivo Alavés, Thunder X3 Baskonia and the associated club NK Rudeš for the next four seasons.
“This is a historic agreement for the Baskonia-Alavés Group. We are at the start of an important project with Kelme, an internationally well-known and successful brand that has been able to adapt to the needs and demands of elite clubs,” explains Haritz Kerejeta, General Director of the Baskonia-Alavés Group.
“We are proud to take this opportunity to work together with Baskonia, one of the biggest clubs in European basketball, with Deportivo Alavés, with whom we have worked in the past and that competes in the best football league, and also with the eSports team and NK Rudeš, two attractive projects with promising futures,” says Carlos García, CEO of Kelme.
Strategic agreement
New gear
Baskonia will sport four new jerseys this season. With a modern and attractive design, the shirts renew the image of the club, respect the characteristic identity of the team and for the first time add a new jersey with the colours of Vitoria-Gasteiz in homage to the union between the team and the city.
The first team jersey for the Liga Endesa keeps the attractive blue and red design but with broader bands and fading lines on the sides to add dynamism. The vest includes the embroidered club badge, the Basque flag on the rear and, as a new detail, the shorts show the head of the much-loved club mascot Aker.
For EuroLeague games, the two new jerseys bring back a design classic, with the red and blue colours to the fore, to pay tribute to the 2004/05 season, one of the most emblematic in the team’s history. And for the first time ever, the jersey on sale to the public will incorporate the embroidered logo of the EuroLeague.
