Baskonia has signed California-born pointguard Josh Akognon (30 years-old) to be enroled on the team during next month with an option to extend the vinculation throughout the 2016-17 season.
Akognon is an american playmaker (1.80 metres) who has also Nigerian nationality. He has developed his career mostly in the NBA D-League making his debut for Dallas Mavericks in 2012-13.
The player from Greenbrae has also played in China as well as for KK Partizan during 2014-15 seasons and has been involved with Dinamo Basket Sassari prior to land in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
