The Baskonia stadium already features a new flooring parquet, with a personalized design and the necessary specifications to be able to host all kinds of events.
Buesa Arena will feature the new flooring next Sunday in the Endesa League Basque derby that will face TD Systems Baskonia and Acunsa GBC. The stadium changes its look, guaranteeing the athletic performance, safety and comfort for players and coaches.
The new parquet constitutes another step in the improvement project of the Buesa Arena that began in 2019 with the new lighting, the television LEDs or the connectivity system with high-speed Wi-Fi network.
The new court, from the Danish manufacturer KTL, has been installed by Mompadeport SLU, its official distributor in Spain. The new 32.7 x 19.25 floor has been manufactured specifically for the Buesa Arena, dried to the degree of relative humidity of the pavilion to guarantee its durability and resistance. Made of Hevea wood, each board contains a 22mm solid wood top, a 12mm plywood board and a 10mm sports foam. The boards are joined together using the patented Flexi-Lock system that ensures the fixing of the boards to each other and the stability of the court.
The court has been manufactured with a totally personalized and innovative design, it is gray with the Club’s emblem silk-screened using laser techniques and both the game lines and the safety zones painted in “blue Baskonia.”. To protect both these areas and the rest of the wood, the track has been varnished with several layers of sports varnish and dried with UV rays.
The new parquet is removable, continuing with the premise of providing the Buesa Arena with functional equipment that allows the required flexibility to host all kinds of events, not just sports.
